Jetpack Black

"You're like, brutally indie" --Allison Abernathy

About Me

We're a rock and roll band from Houston, Texas.
We like to mix the old school with the new
We love the blues, classic rock and post-rock. We hope you hear it in our music.
Our setlist is quite eclectic, and always changing
We're all very different people, but make awesome music together extremely well
Victor plays guitar. He plays it well, and is a bunch of guitar heroes rolled into one.
Mick plays bass. He likes to make silly noises with pedals. He wishes he was a drummer
Alex plays drums. He's the most technical, and manages to make complicated drum beats work over the simplest of songs
Shelby sings and plays rhythm. He's folky and rocking. All at the same time.
Collectively, we're Jetpack Black. Jetpack Black has existed through various lineups over the last 5 years, but we're firmly settled on the current lineup.
We want to come and play music for you, at your venue, your house, whatever you got.
In the summer of 2008, we recorded some live tracks at Sugar Hill Studios in Houston Texas. Most of these were done from 1-5am. It's pretty rock and roll. That's what you hear on this page.
Sugar Hill is the same place The Big Bopper, Freddy Fender, and Destiny's Child all recorded. It was pretty sweet.
Although we're all separated across Texas due to University, we still try and get back together as often as we can, and call Houston home. We'd love to hear from you! And we like these guys:
