I have worked for the last eight years as a design and publishing editor for a local publishing company but since Jan 07 I have gone back to what I love best - nursing and I'm loving it. I'm also in my 4th year of Open University study - studying for my BA(Hons) degree in Literature.......started this when I was under the misguided belief I HAD spare time.....!!!!!!!!! Raising two kids alone, working full time, and studying 16 hours a week...I'm now campaigning for the 28 hour day ;-) I have a gorgeous little dog which we got three years ago called Pierre who is a black toy poodle - used to be in the circus doing all the tricks etc but we have him now in his retirement....can't imagine life without him now even though I told kids for years there would be no dogs in the house !!!!!!! Other interests : Have played classical piano since I was 4 years old, teaching myself guitar this last 4 years also....but struggling to find time. I have always been artistic and have done many paintings over the years - mainly oils for commission, portraits etc....still try to knock out the odd one now and then :-) Love music and going to live gigs - like a vast array of different genres. I adore gypsy jazz - Djiango etc...and have seen Fapy Lafertin (the next best thing to Djiango) formerly of Waso, many times live since my teenage years. Also like rock/country - thanks to Kevin Montgomery and his brilliant music...check him out sometime(he brought me here !!!!) www.kevinmontgomery.com ..... Like bluegrass also and especially a fab bunch called The Rosinators....www.rosinators.com....and many many more that no doubt I'll add on here as I progress....or digress???? that's a wee bit for now about me.....hope to add more in the near future ;-)
