I don't find it difficult to find common
ground with others who have different backgrounds. That is, unless you
really ARE from another planet. But then again, if you are from another
planet, we would have that in common because earth would be a diifferent planet to you!
So e-me any time day or night, as It will not make me lose my train of thought. Haaa! Haaaaa! That train got derailed a long time ago!

Bachelor's Dream
by Ben Laney
The song playing on my page is one I wrote in a hotel room between shows. What do you think? Let me know!
I enjoy a wide variety of music, from classical to alternative and a lot in between. As a songwriter, I like songs that have meaningful lyrics; Heartfelt, serious or comical. I am not into any music that degrades women or encourages violence. I listen for the good stuff. Whether Rock, Blues, R & B Country, Alternative, Folk, Jazz, Pop etc, etc it has to grab me by the heart, mind or my funny bone!!

A Brave, Brave Soul
"The music business is rough"
-Meghan Aurhtur.
The girl in the above photo is my friend Meghan. She is a singer songwriter who lives in the same area as I do. Meghan is working on a Cd that you gotta check out when it's done. She is seen here wearing her protective head-gear while playing a small accordian out in public. Just suppose a big, burly biker on crack happened by who only likes heavy metal? I tell you, this girl is smart, talented, lovely, funny and she's
a brave, brave soul!
Oh yes, This was supposed to be about movies, huuuuuuh??? ;
Comedy, biograghical, some historical, happy endings, documentaries, science fiction and non-fiction, and historical.

I am not one to sit and watch TV a lot, but I do like PBS, Discovery Channel, and concerts which have been recorded live. Why not invite me over and we can watch a video or DVD of something fun. I will spring for the drinks and popcorn, how's that? I like lots of butter on my popcorn so if you don't I'll get you your own bag!!
The Inspired Holy Scriptures
The ancient Hebrew and Aramaic Scriptures (aka/Old Testament) and the Christian Greek Scriptures, or the so called "New Testament". All together there are 66 books which make the canonized collection of the inspired words of our creator. These are the most important to me, but I also enjoy reading about the life experiences of fellow human beings. Bound for Glory by Woody Gutherie is one example, and there are too many others to list them all.
My hero is Jesus Christ, the greatest man who ever lived. He used his powers to help others never to hurt others. Plus, he hung out with some ordinary, common people...Not with the High and Mighty. Did you ever stop and wonder if he's still doing that now, but from a different realm? Millions and millions of intelligent people are saying yes to that question! You can believe in sawdust, but don't try to breathe it. You can believe there is air, though you have never seen it. Oh yeah. And a little light can go a long, long way!!
