Learning To Love

About Me

I have 3 beautiful daughters age 17, 14 and 12. I home educate them, they have never been to school as I don't see school as the best place for them to learn the skills they need for life. Though it is more about giving them space to be themselves and trusting their inner direction. I live in England in a beautiful house in the woods, just me and my girls. I believe life is about taking risks and making the most of whatever happens. I work part time in conflict resolution and peacebuilding. I am passionate about finding alternatives to blame and how to resolve conflict without hurting another human being. I am healing from being a victim of terrorism and am transforming my pain into passion for change. I work with the man who planted the bomb that killed my Dad and am involved in reconciliation in Northern Ireland and all over the world. I am connected to many wonderful people who are saying No to continuing the cycle of violence and revenge. When I was in my early 20s I lived in a hut in the Himalayas and decided that the most important thing I wanted to learn was how to love. Now I see how much I have learnt about loving through embracing the pain of the bomb and also as my heart opens more and more I know how much more there is to learn. More of my work is on my web site BUILDING BRIDGES FOR PEACE
I also do some work for THE FORGIVENESS PROJECT Its a inspiring website full of stories of courageous people whose lives have been affected by life's experiences
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
