Not into movies much these days, they all get this big promo, effects are pretty awesome but the story lacks a lot... comedy wise, not seen a Laugh Out Loud movie in a long time, the old ones are still the best, Marx Bros., Cary Grant, John Wayne, Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers even, although I do rate Songcatcher ( excellent film ) The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, Shrek, Shrek 2... Shrek the Third ( Shrek 3 ) is also very good, first is usually best and probably is in this case but 2 & 3 are pretty good, and compared with the "guy with the idiot friends" movies which are now ten a dozen, well! there is no comparison. Wallace and Gromit ( just lurv that dog ) Tristan & Isolde very good as is Chronicles of Narnia, certainly worth a mention. Pirates Of The Caribbean, excellent, great fun, weird but good entertainment nevertheless.. but still not Laughing Out Loud... well! possibly maybe @ Shrek :)"Funny Games" I thought Naomi Watts was more than excellent in this enjoyable but very disturbing film.. and one of the "finds" of the year for me "Heavenly Forest" .. Japanese film which was just beautiful, but you do need the subtitles:)
I don't watch TV because quite frankly it's a load of crap!!! I do however rate the following and do eventually manage to see them by one method or another:)and adding Xena Warrior Princess... great action, good fun and very often raises a smile.. no longer on TV, I don't think, but that's where we met all these years ago..
