Classical (Tchaikovsky - Swan Lake in particular tears at my soul, Chopin, Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata is dark and that's what I love about it, Bach, Debussy, and of course, Mozart), Classic and Modern Rock, Punk Rock, Progressive Rock/Visionary Music, Sixties Music!, Ballads and Love Songs, Adult Alternative... A few artists I dig off of the top of my head are U2, The Doors, John Lennon, George Harrison, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, David Bowie... I could name many more but as a singer and music lover I could go on and on as I am very much open to, and appreciative of, a wide variety of sounds.
Metaphysical-themed films like The Secret, What the Bleep Do We Know?, Groundhog Day, Meet Joe Black, The Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Sixth Sense, Somewhere In Time, Chances Are, What Dreams May Come, all three Back to the Future flicks, those on www.spiritualcinemacircle.com, fantasy/mythological/historical epics like Amadeus, Troy, Merlin (with Sam Neill in the title role), Legends of the Fall, The Three Musketeers, The Man in the Iron Mask, Elizabeth, Jose Rizal (as portrayed by Cesar Montano), Cold Mountain, The Prince of Egypt, The Mummy and its sequel, The Scorpion King, the LOTR trilogy, Jesus (starring Jeremy Sisto), intelligent thrillers like The Green Mile, Dolores Claiborne, The Shawshank Redemption, Silence of the Lambs trilogy (the first is my favorite - followed by Red Dragon - then Hannibal), laugh-out-loud comedies like Eurotrip, White Chicks, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days, also Disney's animated feature films, Johnny Depp's, Jude Law's, Orlando Bloom's, John Cusack's, Audrey Tautou's, Angelina Jolie's, 8 Mile, A Walk to Remember, Splash, Pirates of the Caribbean, Spider-Man 2, and many more along the lines of those mentioned here.
I don't really watch TV - I'd rather read, write, spend time in nature, or chill with the people who mean the world to me ;) but when I do, it's either The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, something on National Geographic... you get the picture. Though I do make time for a few Simpsons episodes every now and then haha!
Metaphysical ones like those by Caroline Myss, Doreen Virtue, Sonia Choquette, Adrian Finkelstein, Richard and Tara Sutphen, Wayne Dyer, Gary Zukav, James Redfield, Neale Donald Walsch, Sanaya Roman, Stuart Wilde, John Randolph Price, John Edward, Gordon Smith, inspirational/motivational ones like those by Jack Canfield, Anthony Robbins, Barbara DeAngelis, John Gray, Napoleon Hill, books both fiction and non-fiction on the goddess and the sacred feminine like The Da Vinci Code (loved Angels and Demons as well, also by Dan Brown), fantasy novels like those by Marion Zimmer Bradley (The Mists of Avalon and The Firebrand are my favorites), Nick Bantock's Griffin and Sabine series, and retold fairy tales for adults like the ones edited by Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling... among so many others!
I wouldn't call them heroes - just beings I am fascinated by... Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Nikola Tesla, Leonardo DaVinci, Michelangelo, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Louis XIV, Marie Antoinette (a woman greatly maligned by history), Abraham Lincoln, George Harrison, John Lennon, Jim Morrison, Marilyn Monroe, Elphaba from Gregory Maguire's "Wicked," and the Philippines' own Jose Rizal (check out his life story, or look for the movie starring Cesar Montano - I dare you to not be inspired), among others I'll add when they come to mind...
