Our latest short film is in the video player at the top right of the page. It was our entry to the London 48 hour horror film challenge. We came joint runner up out of over 50 teams.
It is called 'Strange wood' coz that is the title they gave us, they also gave us the genre 'horror-drama'.
We kinda like it, pretty decent for a film that was written, shot and edited in 48 hours. You disagree? fair enough...
anyone with an interest in film. please feel to leave loving comments about our films we really appreciate it. unfortunately due to the sheer volume of messages and comments we receive we can't answer all of them, but we will try our best. if you wanna make a film and would like help, message us. if you're a band wanting a music video or live recording please message our sister page Newcastle Live (in friends section).
three of us have a similar taste in music, then there's neil with 'the coral'. boo, hiss...we all like the music of andrew fletcher, and have used his music in our films...if you are a composer please get in touch.
we all like hitchcock and some of us like lynch. we all liked punch drunk love, i heart huckabees and dead man's shoes. pretty diverse really, but that's mainly because neil is picky, nick likes films that push boundries, kris likes films that are so bad they are good and i like (as my flatmates girlfriend describes them) 'gay-ass arty farty films'.
Neil: (enough of this Cameron Crowe bollocks, let's get some proper films on here) Badlands, Dog Day Afternoon,Three Kings, Donnie Darko, MASH, Planet of the Apes, Bullitt, Back To The Future, Man Bites Dog, Weekend, the first Star Wars trilogy, Rear Window, Psycho, Rope, L.A. Confidential, Se7en, The Conversation, Tron, Alien, Aliens, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Stand By Me, The Italian Job (original of course), Get Carter, Taxi Driver, Blue Collar, Dead Man's Shoes, Bad Day at Black Rock, Punch-Drunk Love, The Thin Red Line, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Transformers The Movie, Bicycle Thieves, The Taking of Pelham 123, Pulp Fiction, The Shining, I Heart Huckabees
oh, and we also run a podcast of short films, there's a link to it on this page, see if you can find it
Don't have itunes or a video iPod? Doesn't matter, you can still watch the films
Click here to open download page
Right click on the film you wanna see (where it says download), save it to your desktop, watch it with quicktime. I think they are Mp4 files.
twin peaks was mint. the sopranos is ace. arrested development was brilliant, why did they cancel it?
steve would like to recommend 'spice power: the inside story' by rob mcgibbon. neil likes 'short films 101' by frederick levy.
alfred hitchcock, david lynch, cameron crowe, paul thomas anderson, sam raimi, richard kelly, danny boyle
