Zensor makes the punch from Metal and the rigourousness of Industrial mix with the warmth of ambient. These elements combine to generate a unique, watermark sound, outlining the Zensor universe an autonomous dystopia with no exit and no free rides.When forced to comparison, lines are most frequently drawn to well-known artists like Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails and Cold Meat Industry.
Zensor was officially founded late 2000. The band’s original concept has since evolved and matured and made the ever-expanding universe of Zensor both easy to catch and intriguing to explore. Since the beginning they have been self driven and assured the integrity and consistency of their concept by doing all tasks themselves - everything from composing, mixing, producing, designing artwork, building instruments and making videos.
After their first gig in 2001 they where immediately signed by the independent label Angel Productions. This lead to their debut EP Bunker which received overwhelming reviews from USA to Russia - it was first aired on a Japanese radio station, and tracks from Bunker have been featured on several compilations in the US and Europe.
The band has also received excellent reviews on every single live show, and has appeared on many influential venues and festivals. A second EP, Subsistant, was released december 2003. It is safe to say that Zensor is more than ready for expansion, which reflects in requests for remixes from various local and international acts.
