POYNTER DESIGN is me Kennedy Poynter, a self taught graphic & footwear designer based in Auckland, NZ. I have been designing apparel, logos, footwear and T-shirt graphics for many infamous labels here in Aotearoa and some in the good ole USA. I have been doing this for way too long, but it's in my blood. My latest projects are Sifika Footwear and distribution co. Dark Water Ltd.
A Brief History.1991-1992 Opened my retail store Cheapskates in Whangarei1993-1994 Moved to Auckland to Manage Cheapskates Papatoetoe1995-1999 Brand Manager & Designer for Boom Skateboards.1999-2002 Started Poynter footwear with Brooke Howard-Smith.
( Anything bearing the Poynter label now, is bootleg! The company now running Poynter footwear did not pay neither Brooke or myself for our label. Long story, but a lesson learnt for young players, do not do business with people without ethics and who have the money to bully you out of your own business.
