Hardcore Beats Press Release:
AFFINITY
“BREAKâ€
A: Original Mix
AA: ils Remix
HB027. Released September 2007
'Affinity is the most exciting act breaking through in Breakbeat at the moment. With fans from DJ Fresh to the Freestylers (“Break is my favourite tune of the year so far.†Aston Harvey) it’s only a matter of time before he breaks through to the higher echelons.
It’s Affinity’s musicality that sets him apart. Harmonious pads evolve around a solid backbone and an incredibly emotive hook. “Break†takes you on a tough-yet-blissful journey, raising the hairs on your neck, cheeks and teeth.
“Break†is gob-smackingly, jaw-droppingly good. Not a tune to be overlooked, too much praise is not enough. Just put it on and see'.Ollie

Affinity – Break (Hardcore Beats)'Up and coming tear out prodigy Affinity reveals his mettle with this emotive, melody-drenched piece of hardcore breakbeat. The funk lies in the razor sharp rolls and syncopation, the gleaming and pristine beat-work that is as compelling as it is devastating when loud. Huge fizzy synth washes throughout the intro draw into a breakdown and hook that is energised old skool all grown up and grandiose. This is perfect dance music - simple, memorable and dangerously effective'. 'The Andromeda Strain' - Ema Holland
'Hot and horny!' Biog.
'Affinity is Somerset born John, currently based in Landan. John enjoys writing in the third person. John has been dj-ing Breaks and Drum and Bass since the age of 16. Music production followed a few years later. Starting with Reason, John soon realised that an investment of time and money was required to create professional music. In 2003, he moved to Landan to study music tech and the music business at the University of Westminster. When he wasn't drinking in the bar, he continued to polish his engineering skills.
2006 has been the definitive year so far in John's music production. In february, El Hornet of Pendulum fame picked up on one his tunes, Murderboy. He has supported his music since, playing it in clubs including Fabric. Since then, John has stepped up his production and with increased confidence, has distributed it further. This lead to his tune 'Sound System Banger' being signed to Broke, The Autobots bassline breaks record label. This was released on the 23rd of October'. DJ Support:
