About Me

Jessica Something Jewish is ridiculous. Ridiculous in a way that it is infectious as hell and will make you want to dance erratically and maybe even hit someone, only to grab them and passionately make out immediately following the strike. Yes, Jessica Something Jewish will get you action. Anything you read from here on out is a bunch of crap. It is from years ago. I am a different man, this is different music, let's dance already.

Name: Jessica Something Jewish
Formed: February 2004
Members: James, and sometimes others.
Releases:
(2004) Few Strings Attatched (Limited Release)
(2006) Seattle Calls (In-stores and iTunes Fall 2007)
In short: Jessica Something Jewish formed in early 2004 as an escape from lackluster guitar and vocal emotional ballads. The purpose was to create a new sound, for which everyone could apprceiate in some way. Some of it is made for dancing, some is made for swaying. The message is unclear, but is slowly revealed through the vague metaphors ever present in the lyrics. Never tying himself to one subject, James Glines, the creator of JSJ, finds a way to tell the difference between the most important subjects to the most obscure and inconsequential things imaginable.
JSJ's accomplishments include:
Australia and New Zealand Tour 2006 (20+ shows)
West Coast US Tour 2005 (5 shows) 2006 (7 shows)
Full Length CD Release "Seattle Calls" 2006
JSJ has shared the stage with international touring acts such as: Tegan and Sara, Ash, VHS or BETA, Shiny Toy Guns, The Bravery, Walter Meego, Dan Deacon, Aqueduct, Rocky Votolato, This Night Creeps, Lapush, VCR, Mixel Pixel, Viva Voce, The 89' Cubs, Hot IQ's and many more. "Considering Glines' anti-archetype song structure, space-like sonic approach and eccentric band name, I think he’s definitely avoided the pigeonhole on this one." Amanda Chamberlain - In Utah This Week Magazine -

"While being a one-person bastion of industry would leave most people panting and waving a white flag by the wayside, this purveyor of electro-folk-wave seems to revel in it." XOXO - Rave Magazine - Full Feature

"An attractive band with a stage presence that could be described as charming. I even saw Glines hugging some of the people in the crowd without losing a step on the mic." Gared Moses - SLUG Magazine - Full Feature
