Grasp Infinity is a three piece alternative rock/metal band born in Salt Lake City…
Back in 2004, after over ten years of pursuing their own avenues of individual successes (and being too young to die), the urge to create music had surfaced and how. Let’s not call it a comeback, call it a comeforward. Having known each other since the early 90’s while mixing it up with other regional bands, Grasp Infinity has written and played everything from blues to southern rock, metal and grunge. After a few jam sessions, they decided to take their effort to the next level. With the myriad of influences this band possesses, you might think Grasp Infinity sounds a little like Stone Temple Pilots and Jet. How does that taste? Not bad at all. Mark Meyer, Todd Stubbs and David Alan Kay have struck a chord with their own concoction of hard driving rock, with songs written about everything from global warming and greedy government to near death experiences and of course, sex. Produced and engineered by Dave (a formally trained engineer/producer) and the guys in his private studio, their debut album due in early 2008 will explore the ranges of the human spirit, from sinner to saint. With standout tracks like "Captured," and “Say My Name†the music of Grasp Infinity appeals to a wide cross section of indie, alternative rock and metal fans. Their songs are heavy and melodic, well arranged and deeply memorable. Grasp Infinity has a musical chemistry that should be turned up loud and truly experienced.
