It has been proven time and time again that history repeats itself. Nowhere has this been more apparent, in the last 40 years, than in the platform of rock'n'roll. When the British invasion of the 60's turned into the arena rock of the 70's, punk was born. When punk turned into new wave, then to no wave, then back into punk. It finally evolved into the god-awful music of the late 80's. This is when grunge appeared, to avenge punk's soiled name. Grunge has turned into alternative, which is essentially a trendy moniker for boring radio bands such as Matchbox 20 and Nickelback. These days, anyone can record and distribute a hit single from their mom's computer, but the time has come for a new form of music to emerge and for real music to return.
Scene Hold is a band from Seattle, WA that rejects the current state of rock'n'roll. Scene Hold features four members who remember a time when rock meant more than getting on MTV, having your own "Behind the Music" episode, and ending up on a "Where Are They Now" special in 15 years. By combining the experiences of their pasts, and a vast library of music from which to draw inspiration, Scene Hold is creating a unique form of rock'n'roll that sounds familiar to the trained ear. Smart enough to gain the recognition of their peers, and dumb enough for the masses to consume. Scene Hold is prepared to carry the mantle for real rock'n'roll into the 21st century. Burn your radios, folks, I feel a revolution a-brewin'.
