Today, Doubleyellowline(DYL) is proud to announce its latest move in its integration into Invasion Productions which has taken effect on October 27th, 2007. This integration represents a strategic pooling of the expertise of two companies, in an effort to revolutionize the music and events industry.
Doubleyellowline has rapidly become one of the leading organizations in gig execution, band support and live communication and networking. Doubleyellowline strongly believes in the much needed boost for fresh bands as well as to advance the development of veteran musicians.
Invasion Productions has emerged to inspire, educate and entertain Singapore’s youth through innovative arts outreach programmes, upholding a holistic outreach that encompasses these values. Invasion Productions is responsible for the School Invasion Tour, which is a series of music-related tours homing into schools in Singapore.

Created and powered by the indomitable spirit and passion of Team DYL, DOUBLEYELLOWLINE, first took place at the Substation’s Guinness Theatre on Sunday, 15th August 2004. Produced by local musicians for local musicians, in support of local bands, together pushing the local music scene onto the next level. The name ‘DOUBLEYELLOWLINE’ connotes the ‘No Parking’ rule, which metaphorically is the message the organizers want to express to the performers and the audience – the notion of not stagnating, of always moving towards the pursuit of musical excellence. DOUBLEYELLOWLINE embodies the spirit of determination and initiative. The show, with bands playing everything from from emo to punk, metal to jazz, ska to alternative, hardcore to experimental, pop to indie, reaches out to the music-loving populace – the young and the young at heart.
[ Who we are ] After its inception in early 2004, DOUBLEYELLOWLINE is rapidly becoming one of the leading organizations in gig execution, band support and live communication and networking.
[ What we do ] DOUBLEYELLOWLINE confidently offers interested establishments an expansive spectrum of local bands/musicians of every genre. From clubs, schools, private enterprises or ‘indie’ joints we seek to provide the significant alternative to foreign talent. There is a wealth of local musical talent in Singapore – and DOUBLEYELLOWLINE can show you its wonders. We work in close cooperation with our clients by creating a unique identity for every show, adding value to it through experiential ‘eventing’. We pay close attention to specifics, taking innovative steps to endure we engage the audience with a live experience. Our services include the production of the show, band liaison, and publicity support as well as on/off site technical advice. DOUBLEYELLOWLINE will be with you from start till finish.
We focus on professional, quality, friendly service and realistic costs. We are resourceful with a wide range of rental products and services, to fit and maximize the visual and audio impact of your presentation. During the development, organization and execution of the event, DOUBLEYELLOWLINE can either take an active leading role, or simply be a support unit for your cause.
[ Why we do it ] We not only cater to clients who want to put up a good show.
It was observed that there was a severe lack of opportunity and proper organizing in the local music scene for budding musicians to express themselves through performances. In the main, gigs today cater for the ‘more experienced’ bands, featuring the same faces with similar tunes. Fresh and upcoming bands are left struggling for a platform to prove their worth but are often denied in lieu of established bands or simply, the absence of professional organization.
DOUBLEYELLOWLINE acknowledges this divide in status between musicians and is driven to provide that platform that is missing in the local music scene today. By organizing various gigs for both experienced as well as fresh bands, we hope to fill the crucial void in bringing music in Singapore to a brand new level.
DOUBLEYELLOWLINE exists to administer that much needed boost for young bands as well as to advance the development of veteran musicians.
