Towards the end of 1999, Eaddy & Dew decided to form a band (then under another name) and later on with the help of a mutual friend, Faizan (Sourgrapes, Danielle) and Joe, they performed their debut gig, "InDcent Xposure", at Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts.
This very first line-up was a rather rare show as it saw Eaddy on Bass, instead of his usual Drums.
Having been given the initial push to start off, the duo then went on to recruit a more permanent line-up.
With constant shifts & shuffles, the line-up underwent several changes.
Throughout the years, the band added several more gigs under their belt and at times, even had some rather bad run-ins with cheating, scheming, money-faced organisers.
Members came and went due to various reasons, ranging from difference of musical interests, different aims/ goals, ego problems, immaturity and sometimes just sheer lack of commitment.
In early 2006, after a name change to, "FWB", they got to know Muhammad, who was willing to join the band as a temporary Bassist - as he was already with his own band.
Approached by the Health Promotion Board in mid 2006, FWB was requested to perform at their upcoming gig in commemoration of World AIDS Day, which was also supported by MTV.
This gig found Eaddy on Drums, Muhammad on Bass, Dew on Vocals and 2 friends on Guitars.
Following the success of their "come-back" gig after a brief hiatus and some deep discussions, Muhammad and his Guitarist, Edward, decided to leave their former band and join FWB on a permanent basis.
Andrew, a friend who helped them perform during the World Aids Day gig, later joined them as the 2nd Guitarist.
They now proceed on with their new confirmed and completed line-up: Edward (Guitar), Muhammad (Bass), Eaddy (Drums), Dew (Vocals & Keyboard) & Andrew (Guitar).
The band also prides itself for the racial diversity of the group members - Edward being from the Philippines, Eaddy with his Javanese roots, Dew hailing from Thailand, Muhammad of Malay descent and Andrew with his Chinese origins.
FWB is now currently working on their L.P, scheduled to be released by early 2008.
"OUR MUSIC IS LIKE GOING UNDER THE KNIFE (SURGERY), AFTER THE MUTILATION, WE HOPE YOU'LL FEEL BETTER"
SO WHAT EXACTLY DOES "FWB" STAND FOR??
IT'S TOTALLY UP TO YOU TO DECIDE....
