It started as a dream and became a reality in 2001. Founded by BIG TReaL,
Policy's goal was to provide a record company for good hip hop music in the NC/SC regions. In 2001, BIG TReaL dropped "Blue Star Ointment: The mixtape"" and scored a regional hit with the smash single,"Spittin Chitlins" and received an enormous amount of airplay from NC to the ATL. Problem was, BIG TReaL could not handle the demand for the music himself due to not being properly funded. So for two years BIG TReaL scratched and survived with his own finances (via employment at a call center) until the financial burden became unbearable. God noticed BIG TReaL could not realize his dreams by himself and God brought to him Mofire as a friend and business partner. Mofire is a respected businessman and philanthropist in the greater Charlotte area. He also had seven years of experience in promoting and marketing for reggae/dancehall artists internationally. Mofire saw the promise in BIG TReaL and decided to take the chance of a lifetime and invest in the lyrical lexicon. The two released "Charlotte Radio Won't Play Us: The MixCD" and almost over night was celebrated as "the next best thing"!! Due to the gentleman..s tenacity for excellence, Policy Entertainment continued to flood the streets for the next two years with mixtapes such as "The Most Magnificent Problem" and "DJ Polo and Boogie D presents: BIG TReaL-SupaShell". In 2005, Kent Walker joined the team and POLICY ENTERAINMENT GROUP LLC was born. Mr. Walker was a retired Marine with and extraordinary savvy in marketing and commercial real estate. The success of his past and expanding career is a testament to Kent's experience and talent for success. Since the trinity of the three parties, PEG LLC has become a powerful force to be reckoned with in the music industry. PEG has released dozens of mixtapes since then including but not limited to," Back from the Drawing board" which introduced new PEG artists such as Area4 and Big Shen, "TreaL is Dead" and "DJ WIZ and BIG TReaL presents: The Fam aint Eatin Cheddar Biscuits". PEG LLC truly is the wake up call for the hip hop industry. With albums coming from BIG TReaL, Area4, and BIG Shen and "The Respect" Mixtape due winter 2006, PEG LLC is preparing for national dominance in music industry.
