THE WRITER AND DIRECTOR OF "THIS THING CALLED LOVE", "EKLYPSE", CROSSTOWN CONNECTIONS", AND MORE...
While most 10-year olds in 1989 were busy belting out theme songs from cartoons like "Thundercats" or "Gem", Eden Marryshow spent his weekends belting out lines from plays like Lorraine Hansbury's "A Raisin in the Sun." It's not that young Marryshow spent his weekends devoid of fun and excitement. On the contrary, rehearsing lines from plays with his dad's acting troupe in the basement of their Brooklyn home proved to be just the jolt of excitement he needed. Marryshow's childhood love of film and theatre would later inspire him to write and produce his own works. Not only was "This Thing Called Love" written and directed by Marryshow---he is also the film's lead actor. When he's not making films, Marryshow spends his time teaching young children.
