New's Update 2008 is here and so many wonderful things are happening for CB and it's affiliates. J.Nicole joins CB Music Group, Management. Solomon Anderson returns home to CB Music Group and a special surprise ANGEL is soon to be joining as the baby of the bunch! We also signed "Sephida Artis" and Ternae Jordan as new songwriters. There are negotiations for a phenomenal new songwriter/producer, a Grammy Winning producer/songwriter/arranger and 2 of the hottest producers on the scene. Both of the last 2 producers are no stranger to the business. They have traveled with Chris Brown, Tyrese, Jahiem and more. We also are negotiating deals with various other management companies who will form a strategic alliance between our companies to mold a new arena in management.
In 2008, CB producers are working with songwriters from Multi-platinum songwriting and production companies. You have to stay tuned for all the new things going around here. As we prepare to say good-bye to some talented personnel within the next 90 says to make way for returning and established talent, we hope that GOD continues to shine on them.
CB will conclude collaborations with hot sensation Mateo Amarie not later than August 2008. We will also say good-bye to M-Status Productions and his talented crew of songwriters. But, don't fret! CB has added the Grammy Award Winning Songwriter, Gavin Christopher, Ronnie Latchman and more. Along with Gavin comes up and coming songwriter killing the game, "Jeremiah Renaldo."
It's been an amazing year working with these phenomenal young men. We do expect to hear big things from them and wish them well on their journey. God is going to bless each of them. They will be HUGE and you will know their names! We wish you LOVE!
CB will open the doors of communication with Koncept Kings/Songbook Entertainment songwriting guru, Stacy Roberson. Stacy who is a phenomenal talent and inspirational songwriter has ventured into the R&B genre and plans to set it off as he does the gospel arena.

We are proud to think that we have producers like George Clay, J-Maul, B-Hodge and our best kept SECRET WEAPON Rkitec who were in the wings. We have a few top 30 hits on the current Billboard Charts, but we don't blow our own horns.

Stay tuned for The MVPZ who just returned to the United States and set up camp in Atlanta, GA and The ReBellion who just moved to California to work with Indie label, Rockhop Records.

Thanks to Troy Taylor who let's me burn his ear up with LONG conversations. Thanks to Fernando Gibson, Super Manager and to David Givens who understood me when nobody else did. I consider him a true FRIEND and Super GUY! I'm so blessed in this business of music.
I love my good friends at Universal especially my big sister Sylvia Rhone who always has time for me. Thanks for always taking my phone call and never telling me how silly I sound when I stressed. You helped me make some very sound decisions this year.

I am sitting on Cloud 9 and loving every minute of it. Crystal Ball Entertainment, LLC . I am also the former President of NABFEME Los Angeles Network ( http://www.nabfeme.org )It's a clickable link and you should CLICK ON IT!. I held the position of President for over 2 years and met and networked with some very powerful and spiritual ladies. Their founder and Charmian, Johnnie Walker is the former Senior Vice President of Island Def Jams' Promotion Department. She has worked in radio for over 20 years and been instrumental in the careers of Montel Jordan, LL Cool J, Dur Hill and many more. She taught me what it means to be a GOOD leader. She held my hand when it got tough and the ride was rough to keep me balanced. This is a team of Powerful Sisters who work for the betterment of women in this entertainment industry. So, I urge you to check them out, do the math and make MEMBERSHIP count for YOU!

I have been in the entertainment business my entire adult life. I guess it was in my veins. My family has been in the business of entertainment since 1931. My uncle played in old black and white jungle movies as the side kick to a famous Lil jungle boy named Sabu. My dad played for the Negro League (The Chattanooga No Look Black Outs)in TN. My mom was one of the first black models for John Robert Powers (1950's) When it was a legitimate company...lol. She was also a model for the infamous Don Loper and Channel Lines in Paris France. My mother also was a registered nurse. I grew up in a house where my dad was friends with celebrities (e.g.) Lou Rawls, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin and the entire Rat Pack and Nat King Cole. My dad ran the small restaurant below Dino's in the early 70's on the Sunset Strip. He passed away in 1999 but lived a long and successful life. I did a ancestor and family history on my family and it blew my socks off. I NOW know WHY we can't get reparations. My family were never slaves. In my ancestry search I found that my great-grandparents owned a general store and had over 20 slave families on their property. I remember hearing the stories of how my great-grandfather purchased slaves to SAVE them from a life of punishment of being black. My grandmother was born in 1882 and in the 1900 census it showed her as a chambermaid and her big brother was a Blacksmith. Umm, they didn't have blacksmiths who were black unless you had MONEY! It was a white man's trade and only the successful families had jobs of such status. They lived on a 75 acre plantation in Louisiana. Read the book I'm going to write. Yes, they convinced me to tell my family story :-) When I was about 8 years old I had the pleasure of meeting the Jackson 5. It would be the first of many of the years. By the time I was in my teens, I was blessed enough to be invited to many of the parties at the Jackson family home along with my family.
I grew up in L.A. and with kids who many became famous. I left L.A. before my senior year but returned in time to get my first taste of the music business. By the time I was 17, (seventeen,) I was working at Motown BEFORE there were Interns...lol I worked at the old Motown Offices on Sunset for two summers and met the man I call my BIG BROTHER, "Uncle Hen." Yes I know you were looking for the Aretha and Diana story but that's old news. Now that we know one another, I'll tell you about my family. I grew up where many of my friends became famous for music and sports. My big brother Hen wrote music for Motown and we were the youngest people around the office.
Life has been good to me. I've been blessed to manager and represent some wonderful talent over the past twenty odd years. me!*

Shout out to my lil God-Brother doing his thang "Pimp C" of UGK! It takes more to be a mom than having a child. I Love You Mama! I was blessed to have 2 mothers and they both taught me to take care of others, but to NEVER forget about ME! I send special shout outs to my great songwriter/producers, Vicktor Neumann, J. Breezy, Tommy Gee and D-Sytle Productions in the UK
