Policy Entertainment Group is a Independently own record label based out of Charlotte, North Carolina (QC). Our featured artists are Big Treal , Shen and Area 4 . We've released 7 Mixtapes featuring our own labelmates along with the best Underground Artists the game has to offer. Our main artist Big Treal will be featured on 9th Wonder's new 2007 album Dream Merchant and He was already featured in Little Brother's "Separate But Equal" Mixtape which ft Major artists like Mos Def , Kanya West and Bun B just to name a few. Policy Entertainment Group was formed in Charlotte, NC in 2003 as a protest against the major record labels quality of Hip Hop and Rap that is getting air play in America. After the CNN Paula Zahn interview in March of 07 over the controversy of Hip-Hop being Art or Poison , Policy Entertainment Group's mission now is to bring Hip-Hop back from the dead and give it the credit it deserves with Big Treal's whitty lyrics, Area4's politically correct views and Shen's controversial Prospectives about the struggles in the ghetto. Policy Entertainment Group's official debut came in march 2004 with our first Mixtape, “Back to the Drawing Board;” the songs talk about making it big in the music business while still dealing with the troubles and hardships of life growing up in the South. In 2005 came "Treal is Dead" followed by "Cheddar Biscuits" , "Respect" and a song on Little Brother's "Separate But Equal" Gangsta Grillz Mixtape hosted by DJ Drama in 06, Which is still the # 1 selling Hip-hop mixtape on amazon.com. 2007 begins with Policy's artists working with producers such as 9th Wonder and several producers along the South and the East Coast.
