FOR ANYONE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED :Im Scottish by birth.. but I have spent most of my adult life living in England. I moved down south after I survived an attempted murder at 15.. and yes an axe in your head does hurt. I have been a regular visitor to the USA.. including living in California and Michigan for a year in each... and I have spent time in Arizona and North Carolina - as recently as 0ctober 07. I paid my way through University ( where I did a Movement/Sports Science degree ) by DJing.. and enjoyed doing that for many years after graduating.. damn I miss the perks ie the awards invites, offers of work abroad, the after parties and the free access to concerts - hmm, cant beat VIP.. ha ha. ( hello to DJ Kofi, Soul Bob, DJ 2Smoove and Neal Neale ). Originally destined to be a Professional Sportsman ( Football and Athletics ) a serious knee injury forced me into premature retirement at just 17.. so I never got to the World Cup or Olympics - which were predicted.. oh well. I was a contributor/journalist for the award winning Street Vibe music magazine. My working career has always been based around Health and Fitness: Personal Training ( including an England footballer ), Exercise Prescription, Fitness Consultancy and Physical Training Instructing for the Police. BUT 08 is going to be about finding a new career OR looking into possibly moving abroad. When I was 16 I was asked to teach breakdancing in USA.. but turned it down - doh !! I was also approached to be a bodyguard for Mike Tyson when he fought in the UK and I was asked if I would be interested in drumming for James Blunt..but I said I would be asleep on my kit playing along to his stuff.. oops !! Oh, and I missed a J-Lo party in Miami because I had to fly home.. aargh ! Ive been playing drums for nearly 20yrs.. and I can still hear pretty well... smile ! Im also trying to teach myself to play guitar.. but alas it doesnt come as easily/naturally as creating rhythms/beats with 2 sticks. Im blessed with a great family and friends who have been there through thick and thin.. and I now have a nephew ( Daniel ), 2 official god kids ( Sophie and Lewis ) and 3 unofficial ones ( Samuel, Maxwell and Megan ) who bring me great joy.Mike Terrana - Detonator
