Their 'Symphonie Pour Un Homme Seul(1949-50)' is groundbreaking), Frank Zappa and The Mothers Of Invention (circa '66-'70), Edgard Varese, Sly and The Family Stone, The Fall, Shostakovich, John Carpenter (yeah, the film director), Robert Johnson, Kraftwerk, Curtis Mayfield, The United States Of America (the band, not the whole country - they dropped one classic album in 1968), Lee Perry, Pablo Moses, Augustus Pablo, King Tubby, Rico (Rodriguez), Faust, Headhunters (Survival Of The Fittest!), The Art Bears/Henry Cow, Negativland, Isaac Hayes, Chuck Berry, Messaien, Ivor Cutler, Howlin Wolf, Jimi Hendrix, Hatfield and The North, Egg, Canned Heat (when Al Wilson sings, generally) Public Enemy, Ultramagnetic MCs, Sonic Youth, Tortoise, A Tribe Called Quest, Aksak Maboul/Honeymoon Killers, Eric B and Rakim, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Mark Stewart and The Maffia (in fact, the whole Tackhead family of music), R.
