Attention all followers of real Hip-Hop, and to all that knows a magnificent thing when its instantly felt. Let me carefully lift you up by the mind, and drop you within the very eye of the SHADOW CABINET. Let me guide you, and give you an insight, deep within the tapestries of what the shadow is all about. The name, the SHADOW CABINET, known to most as the party of the opposition, this captures what we, as a group represent. But in our case, we are opposing those who would have us remain oppressed, denying us the opportunity to express ourselves artistically, relegating us to an inferior division, without a chance to change our position! WELL I SAY NO MORE OF THIS, BECAUSE WE' ARE ON A MISSION!!! The mission is to bring universal equality; if we must, it will be done through dictatorship, if we cant get it through democracy........... I digress. Simply because we, the SHADOW CABINET, consist of so much subject matter and avenues that have no boundaries, and are yet to be explored.
THE CHRONICLES OF THE SHADOW CABINET begins in 1994, when a group of talented individuals based in NW10 London area came together with a true passion for hip-hop, and a determination to be successful in the field of MC-ing, without compromising the integrity of the artform. The result is incomparable group with skills that remain unparalleled in the field of UK based Hip-Hop.
The SHADOW CABINET is made up of solo artists and groups, most notably, pioneering 80's rap group THE POWERLORDS, who released records through Virgin records (E-MAN), and Commercial records (THE POSSE''S READY and BRITISH MIC CONTROL). Also found within the SHADOW CABINET structure is the highly respected three man group known as the UNCANNY, who have previously been featured on numerous mixtapes and have successful released a number of independently singles (HARMONY OF NATURE, KEEP IT BOOMIN and YES,YES), and garnered a faithful following thanks to their original, professional and humorous live shows. Look out for their forthcoming album MAGNIFICENT VENTURE!
In 2001, SHADOW CABINET were prominently featured on the original DARK and COLD UK HIP HOP UNTAPPED DVD Vol 1, and stood out as the unseen most noticed!
During the same year, and for experimental purposes only, the SHADOW CABINET released the five track EP named CARNAGE. Distributed to only a handful of specialist shops including DARK and COLD Clothing in Central London. Continuing as the most unseen whisper, BIG BLIZ and ROGER MOOR of the SHADOW CABINET put together and circulated under the radar the NW RINSE TAPE, which was only heard by the selected few who know what it is, while putting in work like the Masons for the coming like Illuminati!
Now in the 2 Thousand and Something, the SHADOW CABINET have decided that now is the time to take over this SHIT, with that OLD SCHOOL NEW SHIT you been waiting for with a disproportionate airstrike like Israel in Lebanon, and an unstoppable ground attack like lava flow!
