Come Away" Single OUT NOW (Tru Thoughts)

About Me

Started off this whole singing malarki for Kowalski at tender age of 18 in Brighton with interest from Maverick Records, promptly stuffed that up as discovered boys, girls, clubs and dirty rugs. Recorded and released track with Bushy (Catskills) the next year, Joined live London based band Asoka (Carbon Imprints) as second vocalist, um, various odds and sods for general musical bods, toured as frontwoman/Lead Vocalist with TM Juke (Tru-Thoughts) for the Maps Of The Wilderness album, am now working with Dustyrecords, Lotek Hi-Fi (Big Dada), Jack Baker (ATG) Nylon Rhythm Machine (Catskills) Bonobo (Ninjatune) and more in the pipeline. Also sing on adverts (Grolsch & Campari most recently) and always interested in new projects..... When pretending to be a grown up I am a consultant Press Officer for labels such as !K7, BBE, Sonar Kollektiv, Compost and more and wouldn't be doing any of it without the unwavering (and continued) support from the almightly Big Dada and Ninja Tune where it all started... stuffing those records & working my ladynuts off. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ Single out now with TM Juke called 'Come Away' from his amazing new album 'Forward'. Was Bonobo's lead vocalist for the Oct 06 tour of new album 'Days To Come' (Radio 1 Gilles Petersons winner for 'Album Of The Year'). ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------- "..Sinuous vocalist, Sophie Faricy, turned up the heat, her smoky particles of vocal perfection interrupted by brief interludes of cockney banter and quick gulps of Grolsh in between tracks. I didn't write down any of Sophies banter, which is a shame because it was such a contrast from this sultry singing voice to sudden brash slang" Plan B magazine.
