Mountainfolk of the Pacific Northwest. Rock dwellers of Cappadocia. The male version of myself. Alan Wilder . In 1984 . A garden gnome-bearing Jaime Harding or a garden gnome bearing Jaime Harding. Those who lack both the desire and the ability to dance. Or partner. Neil Hannon. The thief of me. Pete Dinklage in a wifebeater. Dean Cameron. Innocents and ingenues. An occasion to wear a pretty dress. Explorers of abandoned places. In Russia. Someone who'll meander with me down country roads to destinations undetermined.

The new Madrugada is brilliant.
MTV's late "120 Minutes" and that period of alt.music defines my musical tastes. I'm into moody nordic pop/rock (particularly that of Sweden); British pop/rock; new wave; an as yet specifically general type of 60s/70s hard rock; garage rock; hard psych; any metal featuring operatic, acrobatic vocals; & showtunes. I also love the music my mother listened to when I was a small child (yacht and pop rock). My tastes and the ways in which I consume music are in transition at present.

I dig old charm manuals; self-published, plastic-bound cookbooks by ladies' leagues; and travel guides. I am in the first third of at least three handfuls of real books at the moment, but I have a nasty habit of finishing nothing I start. I long to be well read.
