Music Everything - Journalism, DJing, Music Production and the 'Study of Everything' are all directly responsible for those bags under my eyes (hey, at least they match my shoes!)

What ya got? Another way of saying, I find inspiration in nooks and crannies of the musical spectrum. I'll be descending into the depths of Pete Namlook and Klaus Schulze one moment, the next, breaks remixes from Bassbin Twins. Progressive house/breaks to IDM, deep house to Led Zeppelin arena rock. Sergio Mendes to Mahavishnu Orchestra. Quantic to Madlib. Current heart breaker is Gavin Bryars' 'Jesus' Blood Never failed me Yet'. The '93 version with Tom Waits on it. I get excited by tape loop based music from the 50's and by loop based music from the 2030's. Sun Ra is my cosmonaut. John Cage is my taikonaut. Phil K and James Zabiela make me worthless. Leo Kottke's fingers are gold. So are Oscar Peterson's. I get shattered by Jon Brion. Soulive lay it down. Love DJ Spooky. I agree that sampling is the rewriting of history. Although I think the message can be more specific. Erik Satie was in his own league. Stockhausen, Schaeffer and Henri were the original godfathers. LTJ Bukem has found a way to harness chaos. Have you heard Mr. Oizo's last album? Holy crap! Danny Howells is blessed. The List of respect goes on....Francois K, Phuture/Phortune, Mills, May, Cattaneo, Luciano, Hybrid, Laux, Weatherall, Peter Hook, Tomiie, the Plumps, Tenaglia, Lawler, Hawtin, Kleinenberg, Steve Bug etc etc. In retrospect, the eyes become glazed as there is an infinity of music. Only the ears can make sense of it. God bless the Cold War Kids.
movies killed the internet radio star..
The shows that shaped my childhood, leading to dramatizations on the playground, action figure mayhem against my sister's Barbie dolls, etc. Shows such as The A-Team, GI Joe, Simon & Simon, Hart to Hart, Duck Tales, Tail Spin, Remington Steele, etc. What can I say, I was a cold war kid.
Could Philip K Dick have been any more brilliant?
