About Me

I started playing guitar in 1979 and the ripe old age of 14. I never took lessons....they took the fun out of playing. I learned by watching other musicians. My father had a good ear for music. I must’ve inherited that because I can hear a song once and play it back. I got married in 1989 and the guitar and amp were religated to the closet. I was divorced in 2000 and my first act as a single person was to go out and get a new Les Paul. I was surprised at how much I remembered...and forgot! My timing was horrible. But with practice it all came back. I went thru a few 4 track recorders and wrote and recorded a few songs but once I plunked down the cash for a digital recorder I was up and running. I just noodled around at home writing and recording original material. A few years back I hooked up with some guys who had a public access show in Bethel Park, Pa. What a blast that was. But with life comes responsibilities and since I’ve been renovating a house with my girlfriend I haven’t had much time to jam. But I’m always open to meeting and chatting with new friends so drop me a line.

Influences: I'm a big fan of progressive rock. Bands like Rush, Yes, Saga, Dream Theater. The funny thing is that most of my original songs sound nothing like these bands! Being a child of the 80's I love to krank up the hair metal bands and sing along! My main influences are Eddie Van Halen, Lindsey Buckingham, Neil Schon, and Joe Satriani.
Sounds Like: Some of my songs have an REO Speedwagon feel to them. My guitar style has been compare to Steve Stevens.
