I am the RUSH JUNKY...
I grew up in the peanut capital of the world, Pearsall, Texas, 50 miles south of San Antonio. George Strait's Dad was my algebra teacher in Junior High....lol....
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry University in Dallas way back in 1985. It's been well worth the sacrifice and investment; but, I was sooooo glad when it was over. Yep, I'm through with school...Going to college was a no-brainer...post graduate school ? No thanks, it's over. I am looking forward to an early retirement when I'm around 55; so far, everything's on track :)
My wife Michelle and I currently live in the second oldest town in Texas, Bastrop. Bastrop is 30 miles east of Austin and 30 miles west of La Grange, the town made famous by the little ol' band from Texas, ZZ Top. I enjoy living in the piney woods; it's peaceful and full of wildlife. Being out in the country also provides for very dark nights that allow the stars to shine brightly.I commute to Austin for work. Not only is Austin the capital of Texas; it is also known as the "Live Music Capital of the World" ; on any given evening, more than 30 artists are entertaining live; need I say more ?
I enjoy shootin' pool, shootin' guns, concerts, movies, watching football, and playing golf. I'm a Dallas Cowboys season ticket holder... ! 13-3 season !! Next year WE WILL BE IN THE SUPER BOWL !!!
I am proud of my Mexican heritage, como no, and I love this great country of ours! Even though I'm a Texan first, I do love the good ol' US of A as well. Love it or Leave it !!
Obviously, I'm a huge RUSH fan ! I'm also a big fan of the Texas Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys, and Ford Mustangs especially 1965-1973 models. Ford FINALLY got it right again with the throwback fastback body style in 2005-2007. My Mustang is a '67 coupe. Check it out in my pics .
