I have been fighting to change laws regarding medical marijuana since 1990. When paralyzed in a motorcycle accident, I was given many pills that made me sick and I was unable to eat or sleep. While in therapy, I was introduced to marijuana which saved my life. Marijuana lifted my spirit and allowed me to eat and sleep which enabled me to have a great recovery. Today marijuana helps me with my chronic pain, with out it I would be sick and addicted to pills. After many years of medicating with marijuana I have found many medical benefits and shared the knowledge with other patients. Today, I advocate for patients rights, work with local government and law enforcement to work out guidelines and procedures for medical marijuana. It is my hope that the federal government will show compassion towards patients by allowing states to regulate medical marijuana laws.
