"Too Polite To Swear"

About Me

I live in London, England and work as a Picture Editor in a press agency.I've also been involved in a art organization called The Spirit Lives On (TSLO) that puts on exhibitions for non-professional artists - people like me and my friends that run it! I met 3 of the other organisers, Becky, Fem *& Olianna in Odense June 2003, where Viggo Mortensen was having a photo exhibition, a poetry reading and a book signing! We had so much fun, that we decided to have a reunion the year after and also used the opportunity to exhibit our art. It was successful and really special to see your work in a proper gallery. Pics below are Viggo & me, The gallery (Filosofgangen) where we have our exhibitions in Odense (Denmark), Inside the gallery: Pics from our last 2 exhibitions. Last pic is of our logo. I've some larger pics in my Photos section. View of the gallery outside.

OTHER LIKES & DISLIKES :

Likes:- my cat Jules, my family, friends, meeting new friends, traveling.

Fave Food: Chocolate

Fave Drink: JACK DANIELS LYNCHBURG LEMONADE: 1 part Jack Daniels; 1 part sweet & sour mix; 1 part Triple Sec; 4 parts Sprite. Add ice and stir. Garnish with lemon slices and cherries.

Fave Country: Italy

My fave colours (if you haven't guessed already!) are green and orange. I also like black, red, yellow & blue, depending on my mood!

Dislikes:- Rude people, fakes friends, having to show my age on anything. Age seems to put you "in a box" and I don't do "boxes"!

My Interests

My interests are photography, writing, internet, movies, book groups and my nieces and nephew. I like watching sport rather than doing any(yoga & Swimming is about my lot!), but I like watching football (soccer)

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who I can click with and chat away, whether it's friends or Celebs. I hate "drying up" and not being able to think of anything to say.

Music:

Varies, I love anything that's got a tune! Beatles, 60's: Rolling Stones, The Who; 70's Abba, Ramones, Slade, T-Rex; 80's Japan, Duran Duran, Kraftwerk to "now" Madonna, Scissor Sisters. Most fave kinds of music are 60's & Rock/Heavy Metal like Motley Crue, Brides of Destruction, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n Roses, U2, Metallica. Having said that, I've been going back to my 80's New Romantic roots recently and listening to early Japan, Duran Duran & Heaven 17 so, as I said, my tastes vary! I like seeing good Tribute bands too and have been going to Liverpool's Beatle Week and Mathew Street Festival for the past 10 years. Fave "local" bands are The Overtures and Red Star Rebels ( Forum: http://rsr.15./ ). I've also been to Sweden (Norkopping) to support my friend's (Sebastian & Anders) band Shineth. http://www.shineth.se

Movies:

Lord of The Rings; Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Gladiator, Disney, Saturday Night Fever, Fatal Attraction.

Television:

Any period drama like Bleak House, Forsyth Saga, Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre; dramas like Waking the Dead and Inspector Morse; Shameless, Lost, anything that Stephen Poliakoff does (The Lost Prince, Shooting The Past, Perfect Strangers), Heroes, Ashes TOo Ashes, Life On Mars, Miami Vice, Midnight Caller.

Books:

All the Harry Potter books, Gormenghast, The Lord Of The Rings, His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, The Dirt by Motley Crue, Tommyland by Tommy Lee, The Silence of the Lambs, Wilkie Collins (Moonstone, The Woman in White), Sarah Waters (Tipping The Velvet, Fingersmith), crimes, thrillers, London's A-Z.
