Pedantry. Food. Music. Knowing stuff. The hills and mountains round by here.
... myself coming back
There are more photos and whatnot on my Bebo pages
The Beatles above all; shuffling ranking for 'Visions of Johanna', Nick Drake, George Harrison, Dylan, Brian Wilson and his current touring band; and then in no particular order... the Beach Boys, Wondermints, folk rock, power pop, a bit of psych now and again, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, the Police, ELO, the 60s and 70s, Jason Falkner, 'No Earthly Man' by Alasdair Roberts, Pink Floyd, Ravi Shankar, Mary Lou Lord, Gretsch guitars, The Uncle Devil Show (he's got Jimmy Cagney's swagger, but with Jimmy Saville's eyes), Ryan Adams, The Byrds, CSNY, The Band, Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony, Orff's Carmina Burana, Beck, 'Love On a Farm Boy's Wages', Super Furry Animals, SMiLE (you don't wanna know how many times, how much money, how far I travelled...), George Harrison, George Harrison, George Harrison (sic), Blur, Jellyfish (especially 'Russian Hill',) harmony pop, slide and steel guitar, music that yearns, banjoes, Johnny Greenwood, Ralph McTell, Ewan MacColl, 'Sloop John B' performed live by the BW Band, The Fab Faux playing The Beatles, The Overtures playing the 60s, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo rather less so (sorry Ring), long hair and Paisley shirts, Gomez, Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello, Peter Gabriel, XTC, new old stuff my friends send me, hopefully lots of groovy stuff I'll find here now I'm myspaced, and some more Beatles
Everything, now I have a trash pass - I mean Cineworld Unlimited card.
Gone right off telly. Except Eastenders. DVD boxsets, though are another matter.
I am reading "The End of Mr Y" because I was attracted by the edges of the pages, which are black. You could easily distract me from this by showing me shiney things, however.
No more heroes any more. But I'd like to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I grow up.
