I have 3 amazing kids who are so different, but they are all so very talented, especially artistically. They are the most magnificent gifts in my life!!
I have 2 dogs and a cat. Yes, Monkey runs the show! Sidenote here, when I was 5 we actually had a monkey! It taught me and my younger brother wonderful lessons--mostly about electricity. Tip: Don't stick your mothers bobbypin in an electrical outlet just because the monkey is doing it...and seems to be enjoying it!
Love going to the Zoo and the Wild Animal Parks.However, there are too many times when those visits just frustrate the hell out of me. The idea of an Elephant(and most of the animals) being in a small prison for our visual entertainment just sucks.Guess you can figure out that I can't stand the circus.I'm no tree hugger, but I wish sometimes that us humans would stop thinking that we need to control and have access to everything.
A little about my life:
I spent a good part of my teenage time as a patient in the hematology department. At the time it was very scary because what I had was rare(at least in those days--pre-internet omg!), ITP (I'd spell it out, but just google it). Now all is well, but that experience gave me a different perspective on life than the average mainstreamer.
In the early 80's I was very active in the punk movement. I was going to all sorts of clubs in Hollywood, had very interesting friends, and was really enjoying my life. I was even in a band. Played guitar and sang.
I played softball for several years and at one point I must have completely lost my mind---I would go to Dodgers games and would fill out this form so I could keep tally on RBI's and stats like that...whew, what was I thinking? Actually, it was a good time.
The later 80's were crazy, big hair and earrings. I LOVE to dance and I knew those belly dancing lessons would pay off!!
I've done my share of partying and certain aspects of that kind of life are over for me. I know how to have a great time free from outside assistance. I don't smoke and I rarely drink. Coffee is my daily addiction that I happily give in to.
I have lived in California my entire life and have often wondered if this is where I belong.
I don't believe in any organized religion. I can't go along with the idea of doing the right thing for a reward.
I love, love, love, music. I enjoy all types and I've found the common thread in all of them is that they have a high level of passion . Some people can just listen to it and have no particular attachment to it, but for me, music is my emotional chocolate.
Some of my most memorable listening moments came while driving alone at night on Hwy 10 through the deserts. A black sky full of stars and This Mortal Coil on....could it get any better?
I enjoy people with integrity, passion, kindness, sense of humor and a quick wit. I also like imperfections. What others may see as a flaw, I will probably like. I like teeth that aren't perfectly straight (clean, please), a nose that has character, and a person that wears these "flaws" with style.
I can be very silly and goofy. I can totally laugh at myself and can find humor in just about any situation.
