About Me

My Official Campaign Website

In Brief
Last year I moved to Columbia, MO from Memphis, TN. I took an awesome job, where I pretty much do what I want, when I want (what could be better than that). I get to do web design, SEO, and graphic design all day everyday. Pretty sweet huh?
Plus I get all kinds of meaningless titles and certifications to go along with it such as: Invited Expert to the W3C Working Group on HTML, appointed Representative to the Citizens Internet Advisory Group for the City of Columbia, Certified Internet Web Professional, SEO Specialist for the Web Steering Committee of the Flakt Woods Group, Webmaster for SEMCO Incorporated. Am I shamelessly self-promoting? Yep, guilty as charged.
Oh and I'm a Candidate for Missouri Secretary of State as a Libertarian ticket. So be sure to tell you're friends how cool I am and that they should add me. Let's fight for freedom and help limit the power of the government one election at a time. I decided it's better to do something than to sit back and let them take our rights away.
Who am I?
I'm a proud citizen of Columbia, Missouri. I moved here about a year ago and have completely fell in love with the city's culture of art, music, and education. I love the fact that Missouri is full of nature, full of great learning institutions, and home to a large variety of different cultures.
What do I do?
Professionally, I do web development and design for SEMCO Incorporated and their parent company, Fläkt Woods. I've been doing Internet marketing and e-commerce business development since 2001, winning awards in many academic competitions. Web related work has been my primary passion ever since. I help a number of organizations that believe in open standards on the Internet and I am an Invited Expert on the W3C's Working Group on HTML, helping to develop the next version of the language that drives the Internet.
I've been active in volunteering with various organizations for as long as I remember. I started in the Boy Scouts when I was young, participating in a number of charity events and volunteer groups in my original home, Memphis, TN. I participated in the Great Arkansas Cleanup every year for nearly a decade and have continued the traditions I learned on my path to becoming an Eagle Scout, here in Missouri. It was the values I learned growing up, that I'd like to ensure exist in the future. That's why I have volunteered my time to my appointed position as a representative of the public on Columbia's Internet Citizens Advisory Group and participate in a number of political ballot initiatives aimed at protecting your rights as citizens of this great state, in this great country.

What Qualifies Me to be Secretary of State?
I'm a Leader. Whether it was in the Business Professionals of America, DECA, or the Boy Scouts: I've proven that I stand out as a leader in both my schools and the communities I'm part of. Through developing a corporate intranet at work, I created better ways for my company to communicate it's message to it's employees and more efficient methods for employees to voice their opinion as well. I believe that I could do the same as Secretary of State. Electing me would show hope for all Missourians, that tomorrow will be better than today, and that every vote and voice will be heard.
I'm work hard. I have had to pay my way through life working and going to school, my parents are average middle class citizens, and I live in an average sized apartment, working a normal 9-5 job. I understand what issues the average Missourian faces. I want to offer reasonable solutions to better the people of this state. In order to place more people in office that accurately represent the majority of citizens we need to work toward removing the limitations the government imposes on small business and on our personal freedoms. More importantly we need to ensure that there is fair ballot access for all candidates and free and open voting for all Missourians.

Yes I realize my reading selection is very limited... sorry I don't read books often... but I am always reading on the internet...

Heroes:

Ron Paul. He's a visionary leader of freedom and has been called the Thomas Jefferson of our day.

Seth Macfarlene. Not so much a hero, but he makes me laugh. Even if we don't agree on anything politically, I can fairly say that I've spent way to many hours watching his shows, Family Guy and American Dad.

The Road Runner... Beep. Beep.
