About Me
I was eleven years old, trained singer ( all sunday's morning in church ) and yet initiated with Sol-fa in primary school by a double bass jazzman ( mr Masson ) when
i buy my first guitar ( a amazing blue folk gtr ). After one year playing by ear on one string ( this was the good time ) i discover my first chords with a music teacher
(Jacky Plagnard) and learn to play songs from my favorite singer this until (at thirteen ) i listen to “Jimmy & the King bees †in the “Palais d’hiver†and “ Chico Magnetic Band “ in the “West side club “ in Lyon. Immediately i convert myself to the electric guitar and so soon begin to play Sixties rock music in my first band ( the Comets ).
At fiftteen so impressed by Jimmy Hendrix’s music, i take more in depht courses with
a great rock guitar player in lyon ( Jean bes ) while i am playing “Pink Floyd & Led Zeppellin†tunes in a school rock band ( Banana’s band ).
When i was seventeen, enthousiasmed by Jazz rock stream with such great guitar player like Jhon mac Laughlin and Larry Coryell, i had more créative experience with régional musicians like Guy Villerd ( Arfi ) or Lucas Martinez ( Roue Libre ) and fusion band like
“ Phillipe Coulibaly quintet “ or “ Chrysalide “ ( with the pianist Christian Fradin ) before to know (at eighteen ) a really professional musician life with “Paul Franck et les Wind Blows†( a big Ball Orchestra ) which whom i play one year in many dancing from South-East of France . When i was twenty, to be enrolled in the “JMJ Musical “ team as seller give me opportunity to meet member from famous régional band like Vortex,Pulsar,Terpandre,Sphéroé and some international musicians like Marcel Dadi, Steve Waring, Didier Lockwood, Ange ... as well as a lot of musician from Lyon like André Manukian with whom we created together a “Jazz rock band †named “Aster Egoâ€. André help me to go in the same
Music School that he did and after one year in the dancing “La Colline†( St Symphorien d’Ozon) ) as guitar player with “Jimi & the King Bees “ and some studio’s session as musician with sometime very great arranger.I take the plane for the “ Berklee Collège
of Music †in USA. After going back to france, i had begun to play more in Jazz context
( duo, trio, 4tet ) with french musicians that i had met at school in Boston
( Eric Bourciquot, Fabrice Marconi ... ) and tried to create a big band ( a tentet ) who rehearsal tunes of mine until unfortunately the rythm section ( drum & keyboard ) was enrolled for a tour in " Angel/Maimone entreprise "band.
After this, craknel with difficulty encountered with large ensemble i return to more light formation with a poly-instrumentist musician : Roger Lassalle . With Roger, in the same studio in wich i had realized a “Children’s songs “ CD for a poetess ( Jacqueline Gillles ) we record my first album ( Ostinato ) and made several concert in Cultural Center around Lyon. After this electronic peregrination my musical interest focus mostly
toward Acoustic guitar and i study more in depht Latin & Spanish repertory
(Villa Lobos, Baden Powell, Tarrega, Albeniz ) and North America “ Finger style†music
(Lenny Breau, Chet Atkins, Pat Metheny ) .
At this périod i loan my arranging gift to some regional artist and made few studio work’s for Barbara Luna ( a singer from Argentina ) and record some personnal works
( FM Aire ). Passionnate by modern Arranging technique and M.A.O application,
i become during five years something like “ musical directory “ for a theater troop
( troupe “ Sijeudit “ ) which whom each summer we perform our work “live†each
evening during one week. Actually when i am not busy with my “ Guitar teacher “ activity, i share my time mostly between Composition, Recording works and Private Party’s Entertainement .
