I play music. I take care of my kids. I try to make my wife happy. I sneak down to my man-cave and rock the Xbox when all these other things are taken care of....I grind my coffee fresh every morning. The Ethiopian stuff is my favorite....I play with sidewalk chalk more than most adults normally would....I help create comic books with my partner in rhyme, Paul M. Counelis....When I was first learning music, A little kid asked me why I "play the same thing over and over". I thought this was a good question but I didn't have an answer. But this has stuck with me over the years and I think it has helped shape my sensibility and the way I write songs. Of course, today I would have an answer for the kid: "BECAUSE I F%K*NG WELL WANT TO, YOU LITTLE SHIT! GO HOME!" (just kidding, Damien).
I used to hate green peppers but now I love them. Still loathe the liver. My parents used make me eat that shit. I would pretend to eat it but I would put it inside the hollow table legs. I wonder how it's doing now...
I was fanatical about the Hitchhikers 'trilogy' for a few years. I even wrote my own entries for the Guide as if I were a reporter on the payroll. That does NOT make me a dork.
In an alternate iteration of reality, I'm an accomplished Astro-Physicist.
I don't mind athiests. Some of my best friends...I just don't understand the loud, over-zealous ones. You know, the ones who wave it like flag so everyone can see how much more enlightened they are than stupid people who believe in "God". (rant 1245)
My super power would be invisibility. And I would be able to shrink things and store them in my fingernails until I needed them later.
My daughter says at least one new word a day. She's been saying "sorry" at the cutest times. And falling over deliberatly and saying "I'm OK" (she picked that up from travis).
Virtually every sounds has a musical value. Even farts. But woe to those who have to use the mic after that sampling session.
I've played on CRB's stage at least 500 times.
