JYPZEE ..jip-zee.. adj: Bohemian, hippie, free spirit, expressive, talented, a rocker who is soulful and funky.
Blessed be my sisters and brothers, ROJO Rockstarr here, as you may have heard, the first member of JYPZEES is lead guitar player, George. We are both excited and ready to get this project up and running. DREAM BIG, when you want something, and you feel it is right, go for it, don't let anyone or anything get in your way. This is my motto, some people may not understand it, it may come off as being a prick, but I get what I go after, and I am never let down by this way of thinking.
Still working with Mark S. (Warehaus Recording_StuDio), and head of the Axis Projekt, as well as various artist from time to time, and have also been in contact with other independent producers who would like to work with us as well, this vision is starting to become a reality.
Our goal for JYPZEES is to put out music that is instantly recognizable, great, that will have you rockin the f*k out as well making you want to get up and dance. Our vision for the stage is off the hook, and I can't wait to get out there, and create a strong following. We are planning to do something that no other local band today is doing at this moment. Keep an eye and ear out for us.
Like us, if you are JYPZEE, your taste in music will range from, rap, to r&b, to punk, pop, rock, and funk. As you know, the tracks on this page are rough demos. When building this site, I wanted to put a little something up there that will give an idea of what I am about. In the coming weeks, new music will be uploaded so that you will know what the group JYPZEES is all about.
Who Are You?: This was written a while ago while I was hanging out with my buddy A. Shoates in S.O.S. studios. He listened to my lyrics and melody, and came up with the line "would you like to rule the world?" which was a joke between us, as we wanted to be bigger than big at the time. I loved working with A Shoates, it was as if we could read each others minds musically. I had the melody and the feel for the song, and he put down the guitar tracks. It was a lot of fun.
Ex Girlfriend: Hanging out one evening with my best bud Mark S (owner of Warehaus Recording_StuDio), and head of the Axis Projekt, pounding some beers, I had a melody in my head and we pretty much for fun knocked this one out in a couple of hours. Using everything in his studio, I wrote, played, and sung everything. We had a really good time. It is not a finished song, but it is a pretty good memory of a great time with my good friend. He is a fantastic engineer. ***UPDATE*** this is one of the first things that George and I will be working on, bringing this song to its full potential, re recording the tracks, laying down some hot vocals and pumpin this joint out. Keep an ear out for it.
I look forward to working with my new band mates, and I look forward to creating something big, entertaining, and unforgettable. When you listen to the JYPZEES you will be in the groove, when you see us live, you will be blown away, stay tuned.......
