Band Members: BEAUTIFUL DARK

In January of 2007, Stict 9 members Lauren Noelle, Brian & David, Were becoming dissatisfied with playing cove song locally in Phoenix clubs. Feeling their collective talents being stifled & wasted in the Phoenix club scene, they decided to call the name Strict 9 quits. Hearing that the name Strict 9 was also being used by another band in another town in the Southwest. Instead of competing for the name but at the same time craving to be more creative with both sound & vision, They formed the new incarnation, And named it, Beautiful Dark. A more melodic, Industrial metal band, with more freedom to combine the use of electric noise & live instruments while giving the audience something for their money with a classy, Live performance worthy of the like of Bowie, Marilyn Manson & Alice Cooper. They decided Beautiful Dark should feature more of of a theatrical type of live show.
Beautiful Dark is an effort to showcase the band's members different influencial styles of sound, Creative songwriting talent & always elementary different styles of songs. "We're songwriters first and foremost", Says Lauren Noelle, Lead singer for the group explains, "When we sat down to discuss the bands future we decided on 2 things we wanted to make sure of. 1, That each song would have a life of its own. Its own personality, Groove & feel. There are sad songs, Love songs, Hate songs, And yes, Even SEX SONGS! Music is the soundtrack to my life, And my journal has become the forthcoming CD, "Dearly Departed" Lyrically, I really got into this CD. I used more imagination on these songs than I ever had in the past". We this band incarnation promises never to be boring onstage or on CD! Backed with heavy sounding influences from everything from Gothic, Neo-Classical, Black, Dark, Melodic & Progressive Metal to Techno, Industrial, Rave & even 80's inspired Rock 'n' Roll while featuring
up-front their Sassy, Spririted, Sexy, Songwriter, Lyricist, Guitar & Electric Violin playing front-woman! Beautiful Dark will prove to have some very interesting, Sometimes dark, Sometimes brutal, BUT, Above all, Entertaining live shows that will be loads of FUN!
Raven X

RAVEN X was formed in 2006 by guitarist Khâos and vocalist Nÿx. Their music is a blend of progressive,gothic and death metal with hints of industrial and black metal added into the mix.Combining the powerful death growls and euphonically clean vocals of Nÿx with the crushingly heavy and symphonically melodic guitar work of Khâos,RAVEN X create a highly original form of avant-garde metal.
The band is planning to independently release its first CD in 2008.The album will be an emotionally driven and dynamic collection of songs that will captivate the listener with various mood inducing atmospheres.
With their creative sound,visual live shows and relentless pursuit of perfection...RAVEN X is sure to take flight in the very near future!!!
Psilopsyb

This Project was created back in January 2007, Under a different name. The first song was recorded in August of the same year. Since then The music has evolved and changed from EBM, to pure Psytrance, Progressive trance, & Hard Industrial music. This music is the creation of Robin S. a small peculiar Goblin who's taste in Industrial, Psytrance, and electro urges him to create music aswell as listen to it. PsilopsyB Predominantly used hardware synthesizers, and keeps software input to an minimum. This is because PsilopsyB prefers to use hardware technology, as opposed to the more currently popular method of majority laptop useage.
Spekulus

SPEKULUS are a two piece band based in yorkshire, blending industrial and melody with the psychotic delusions of a woman scorned.
SPEKULUS are searching for new musicians. We want a female bassist and a synth player or two who live in the yorkshire area (though lancashire and derbyshire can be accommodated). If you or anyone you know is interested get in touch ASAP so we can start booking gigs. While the search begins we have Andy - bassist of Party, Fire and Theft temping for us on bass.
Absynthe

Based in San Antonio Texas, Absynthe was formed in 2003. Absynthe has composed a number of particularly upbeat and dance-friendly tracks full of force fueled electronic rhythms and dynamic lyrics.
Influences mainly include such bands as Wolsheim, VNV Nation, Covenant, Right through to Depeche Mode & Duran Duran. Plainly put we sound like ''Audible Sexyness''
Shallow Intentions
(Folk / Metal / Death Metal)
Shallow intentions formed in early may 2006. The band was originally supposed to be a heavy metal band with a neo classical twist.
They kicked things off by just playing covers by Children of Bodom and Metallica until everyone in the band was familiar to each others playing styles.
After a few months of just doing covers the band agreed it was time to start originals, their first ever song was Battle scarred and for some reason it came out very folkie so instead of forcing themselves into a genre they just went with the folk idea and it has proved to be a great success.
The band carried on writing songs until they had enough to start gigging. The very first gigs they did were jam nights at the excise house in Weymouth which turned out to be a massive hit by the local metal heads and everyone else in general.
They believe that the reason for people liking their music is because they have complex yet interesting riffs followed by great melodic melodies that just stick in your head.
The E.P 'AFTER BATTLE' was released on the 29th of Febuary 2008 at the Queens hotel in Weymouth. The band will be returning back to the studio in the near future to carry on recording for their debut album.
At this point in time the band is hoping to gig as much as possible to try and spread their name and to be know as the new and upcoming Viking metal sensation! But more importantly they are just doing it for the sheer passion of music and if anything comes from it then it shall be a bonus...

Her Blackened Rose

The talent behind 'Her Blackened Rose' is the lovely young lady called Clare, She is only 18 years old and to be producing such music so early on such as this promises very bright things for the future.
Fans of the Ambient/Classical genre of music will certainly appreciate the beauty of the songs, They have been written with a depth that can only be achieved if created from the heart, Which is surely what these bring across to the listener."
Niënor
(Gothic / Classical / Down-tempo)
Niënor is a very new band comprising of Clare Webster (Her Blackened Rose) and Gabriel Neale (AxioM).
Their music sounds like Gothic Doom Metal with Classical and Folk influences. Dont let the sample songs fool you though, the final versions will sound far better!

Saturnalia

Band was formed in August of 2007 (current line-up). Idea was developed by Ana Marija and Ana in 2002. Original idea was founding an «all girl» band, but it's hard to find a female metal drummer. First live gig was held 22nd September 2007 in a small rock club Mini Teatar along with Panonski Sindrom and Minus Human.
