Formed in the UK in 1993, Jack's Hammer are a Herefordshire-based band, whose own brand of music has been earning very positive reviews and acclaim within the internet community ; most particularly at Broadcast Asylum, an amazing internet radio show whose weekly show blasts out to around 400,000-500,000 listeners World wide.
Playing in a melodic classic rock style, fused with elements of prog and good old NWOBHM, Hammer offer impressive guitarmanship, an infectious set of tunes and a raw and entertaining set when playing live.
To date, Jack's Hammer have released two full length self-financed CDs - "Sometime After Never" in 2000 and "Hammerized" in 2004.
December of this year (2007) also marked the release of a five song EP, "Asylum", which will be more easily available in download and disc format early next year.
Hammer ended their gigging stint for 2007 with two thoroughly enjoyable gigs, both in Hereford ; at Karlo's on Dec 1st and at The Victory on Dec 14th ...
... And with 2008 marking Hammer's 15th Anniversary as a band, Wiz, Mike, Mart and Micky are looking to make it a special occasion, by adding more shows in addition to their confirmed Wyeside Music Festival date on June 7th, as well as working on and releasing the first installment of their "Definition" EP/CD trilogy.
