A big thank you from Bullitt for taking the time to view our space.
We can be described as hard melodic rock. Although the band have been friends for many years Bullitt has only recently come together and now have enough material to start recording.
Having played their debut gig with Danny Vaughan more shows are being arranged for the future and we hope to see you there.
AOR UNDERGROUND. POWERPLAY MAGAZINE ISSUE 102 Sep 2008
A British band that is anything but poor would have to be Bullitt. I featured this lot a few issues back and since then they’ve undergone a bit of a transition. Mikee, their old singer, has left and has been replaced by a female dynamo called Niki.
Well, to say that this has altered the band dynamics would be an understatement. Three new recordings of "Crazy", "Train To Nowhere" and "Rain" all prove that the addition of Niki, was a shrewd one. She’s taken them away from the hair metal path that they were treading with Mikee and pushed them down the avenue marked classic rock. To me they sound like a combination of classy Canadian artists such as Headpins, or Chrissy Steele and Seattle’s finest, Heart.
It’s the latter band that fits the new Bullitt, profile the most with "Crazy" sounding like it could have come from a seventies Heart, album. This new direction should garner the band even more accolades. Have a listen at www.myspace.com/bullittband

Bullitt were the perfect choice to kick off Z-Rock. First impression
A band who enjoy each others company and obviously get on very well.
They gelled perfectly, thats the feeling that emitted from the stage.
Bullitt, based in Liverpool played their debut gig with Danny Vaughn,
thats not bad for a first gig, and rumour has it that Z-Rock was their second-
I repeat second live performance. Well you would have never of guessed it as they carried it off effortlessly as if they have been performing together for years. They are obviously not stage virgins as they have played with other bands.
The dire acoustics could not disguise the fact that this was a band worth listening to and they do have the rockability factor. This isnt a band of extremes you wouldnt dislike them or go completely crazy for them... just yet. They do possess the ability to head toward the positive extreme of being very good.
It was a shame the crowd wasnt there. Playing to one man standing right in front of them with a pint of beer in his hand leaning on the barrier and the rest of the audience on the fringes of the venue, at the bar, sitting around tables would put a band off from performing to the best of their abilities. Not Bullitt, they played as if there was a huge crowd in front of them.
My prediction - i dont think this band will go unnoticed in the rock world. They obviously have the talent, ability and the skill and theyre well positioned in the UK to reach Rock audiences. Only time will tell.
I was sorry to see their set end so quickly. These boys, although a great band to start the show with should have been placed further up the bill purely on the quality of their music, which was superior to many acts on the day.
No negative comments for Bullitt apart from the fact that there was no album to purchase! Their debut album should be available for sale sometime in 2008 according to the latest information available... and it is on my wish list.
Bullitt- Z Rock October 2007- Review Al Hay
Being the opening act on a bill featuring nine bands is an unenviable task. It’s made even harder when the performance time is mid-day in an indoor venue with gig goers still in the throes of arriving. Bearing all this in mind Bullitt didn’t let this hold them back from taking the stage and providing the small but ever growing crowd with a set of classy melodic rock that was big on grooves and melody. Currently the band do not have a release out but are working on their debut album which the band hope to have in circulation in the early quarter of 2008. Judging by the quality of the songs performed at Z Rock 2007 I think it’s safe to say that something rather special could be in the pipeline. Mikee Holmes (lead vocalist) led from the front and was ably backed by harmony vocals from the rest of the band that really filled out their sound. Tracks like “Playing With Fire†and “Street Of Pain†really hit the mark and some superb guitar solos courtesy of Alan Kulke and his gold Les Paul guitar turned heads and gained nods of approval. One of the highlights of the bands set was a song entitled “Rain†which built from a sparse arrangement before turning into a full on majestic rock wig out. There’s a swagger to the bands music that brought to mind Aerosmith at their most commercial tempered by arrangements and soloing that show a love and understanding of classic rock in the vein of Led Zeppelin. Without a doubt “Bullitt†got the festival off to a great start and I’m sure many people in the audience made a mental note to keep an eye out for the upcoming album, I know I have.Click to visit HardRockHouse.com and read reviews for all the bands
AOR Underground June 2007
Armed with only a "rough-around-the-edges" demo and one gig under their belts, you could say that Bullitt is in their Infancy. Featuring Brian Dixon, Steph James and Barry McKeown (Three fifths of the line-up that recorded Torinos "Rock-It" album) plus Alan Kulke (Danny Danzi band) and vocalist, Mikee Holmes, they have just made their debut at the Barfly, supporting Danny Vaughn. The demo includes such future classics as the likes of "Train To Nowhere", the slow-burning "Street Of Pain", the rawkus "Playin With Fire" and the epic "Rain" that all bode well for this bands future, but it was the hard-rocking duo of "Crazy" and "Just Another Bullet" that caught my attention the most.
With a sound that is pure eighties hard rock, this is one Bullitt that even Superman will be hard pushed to beat. They were put together with the sole purpose of rocking, and rocking hard! Fed up with the current crop of "Polite" AOR/Melodic Rock bands that are currently clogging up the scene, Bullitts sole Intention is to deliver slabs of short, but sweet hard rock. Built on the traditions of early eighties hair metal acts like Black N Blue, Dokken or Great White, their demo was as equally entertaining as it was cliched.
However, theres nothing-wrong with a good cliché, as long as its delivered well and Bullitt certainly delivers. A band with a bright future, and one to watch for certain. I caught up with Skin pounder, and Animal look-a-like, Brian Dixon to discuss his his varied career, his love of obscure seventies music and much more
