Red Campion

Female fronted acoustic rock from the UK

About Me

Red Campion play cello, viola, guitar, percussion, mandolin, bass and in a recent turn of events, glockenspiel. Red Campion play rocky, folkish music mayhem that they hear in their heads. When on their best behaviour Red Campion have been known to wear evening gowns and tuxedos. The music is everything to them. They say:"Every now and then you stumble across an opening band that leaves your jaw on the floor and Red Campion are one of those bands; far too good to be playing opening slots at small venues they are a five-piece that incorporate cello and viol[a] into their wonderful sounds. For much of the set they delve into blusey folk cum celtic pop with classical elements, at times soft and melodic with lush vocals but they also know how to have a good time as is shown by the cracking cover of Children Of The Revolution which is mind blowing. Red Campion are a truly original band and well worth an hour of your time if they happen to be passing your way." Vanity Project
