WE BELONG, WE DON'T BELONG

About Me

Autons are featured exclusively in session on Andrew Morrison's new November show for Dandelion Radio, a Peel-inspired online station playing exciting new and unsigned music.
Autons are the first band to be invited to record a second session for Dandelion, and you will hear three brand new, previously unheard songs during Andrew's show that repeats online throughout November.
Dandelion Radio is a fully-licensed Internet station that is run and presented by volunteers recording monthly shows.
To view the schedule and listen to the audio stream, visit the website www.DandelionRadio.com, or find them on MySpace at myspace.com/dandelionradio.
Autons debut album was officially released on Monday 4th June 2007 on Zip Records (USA) and Repeat Records (UK).. Entitled Short Term Manifesto it contains 10 tracks and was recorded by Rich Tamblyn of The Old Blacksmith Studios.
It features all three singles:
* Snakes - the song which came runner-up in the 2006 Festive Fifty was played extensively by Radio One's Rob da Bank and Steve Lemacq
* Firebird - which was released by Shifty Disco on Friday 30th March 2007 as part of its Singles Download Club (www.shiftydisco.co.uk www.myspace.com/shiftydisco10)
* It's A Strange Thing - which was released as part of an extraordinary EP package in April 2007
Autons have the honour of being the 1st ever band to be featured in session on the Peel-inspired Dandelion Radio, which is a fully-licensed Internet station that is run and presented by volunteers recording monthly shows.

Sounds Like:

"...this is the sound of a band either reinventing electro-pop for a new generation or mutilating it within an inch of its life..."

Rock Sound

"Autons impress with the brilliant Snakes - watch them go big!"

Radio One's One Music

"Autons are fantastic, leftfield fun and have more Beat than the Ramones Brat." Drowned in Sound
"Snakes is a work of fucking genius! Like loads of my favourite punk records rolled into one."

Mojo Magazine and Record Collectors former editor Pat Gilbert

"Like Hot Chip, Autons are an irritatingly infectious band to be enjoyed over and over and over again."
God Is In The TV Zine
"Autons have a very punky sound that is mixed with techno beats and the result is absolutely fantastic. 10/10" Joe 90, Repeat Fanzine
"The trio combines the snotty punk melodies and ear-splitting guitar riffs with electronic dance beats!"
Amplifier Magazine
"It's a good thing that this electro-punk gem is blessed with a guitar riff to die for, because once it sinks its fangs into you there's no antidote to its poison... A killer, and no mistake." Vanity Project
"Snakes, a nod to Nerves by the SaharaHotnights, thumps with the insistence of disco while retaining the grittiness of 60's garage rock.....Autons are infectious."Jack Rabid, The Big Takeover
"With the Autons we have electro melded with something of the punk ethos especially in the urgency and phrasing of the vocalist."mstation.org
"This week's electro pop offering is completely nuts. Hyper speed bleeps and lunatic singing are used to create something satisfyingly bizarre." Cambridge Evening News
