About Me

Conrad Kennard grew up in a small are in the local Texaco. This gave him the impression that he lived as a cowboy, thus creating the city cowboy who is all hat and no saddle. Sadly, Conrad has never rustled up a herd, but it's rumoured that if he ever did, he would be the best damn rustler in the world.
Well then it got to the music, which, although hugely inspired by Country and Southern Rock, doesn't seem to carry these characteristics in to the battle of stage. The music is best explained as Cod, which will be explained shortly.
Conrad had performed as a solo musician for somewhat 3 years, until he met a young Mod by the upper-class name of Alistair Smyth. Together, they created Cod. A Mix of Country & Mod. They are still currently in production, working on some new recordings.
After meeting Al, Conrad moved on with him from a solo act to a duo called "The Man Flu Band". The Man Flu Band is explained more in the next section labelled "Band Members".

Band Members: Well with the advancements of time, it seems there is more than one member to this solo musician, and this arrived in the format of a mod and a filthy hippy. Together we have created a diverse and unique sound called Man Flu, thus we are The Man Flu Band.
Mostly, it's bassist Alistair "Mod" Smyth who joins me as the duo we call Cod or Modtry, a combination of Mod Brit Pop and Country, still under the name of Man Flu. Then at times, we are blessed by the heavy hitting drumming of Rob "Filthy Hippy" Day giving us a heavy "Cod" feel. Other Times, we get Carmen Flynn to sing for us, how she has put up with me for over a year, i will never know, but i'm glad she has. She is also a huge asset to the Man Flu Band.

Rory "Cowboy Conrad" Kennard on Guitar and Lead Vocals
Alistair "Mod" Smyth (a posh name right?) on Bass and Backing Vocals
Rod "Filthy Hippy" Day on Drums
Carmen "How does she put up with this" Flynn on Lead & Backing Vocals
Influences: Well, A list of musicians could be written down, but no musician has inpired me to write a song greatly, so it must all be down to the divine creations of Conrad & Al's minds. Songs such as Image coming Soon arrived from bizaarr backgrounds such as images from youtube after uploading a video, Books, Bruises and broken ribs. Damaged Hearts, physically more than emotionally, and finnaly down to stupidity.
Sounds Like: You in a few years time, once you all want to be Conrad, or are taking the pith by mimicing his voice saying some insult about yourself pretending your him so that your mates can have a jolly o'l giggle.
