Never Forgotten...EVER

My husband's and my lives are centered around our "family" which consists of 9 dogs, 16 cats, 3 pigs, 2 goats, about 40 peacocks, one mourning dove who thinks she is a peacock and 3 ibis who visit so often, they are also considered part of our clan. Also, we have about 20 koi living in our former swimming pool.
I'm also a fan of NASCAR and my favorite driver is Jimmie Johnson. However, NASCAR has lost much of its appeal due to not remaining true to its roots by selling out to corporate greed.
I've also been researching my geneaology for quite some time. My family on my mother's side has been in America (first at Jamestown, Virginia) since the early 1600s.
I would have liked to have met my Dad's brother Bobby. I didn't know until after my Dad died just how much my Dad looked up to his "big brother". Bobby was the firstborn in my Dad's family and everybody's favorite because of his adorable cherubic face and his wicked sense of humor. After Pearl Harbor, Bobby enlisted in the Navy. He tragically was lost with the USS Indianapolis just days after they had delivered the Hiroshima bomb to Tinian and days before the end of WW II. Nirvana~my favorite of all time. Still a huge Skynyrd and Allman Brothers fan. 1960s~the British Invasion, The Beach Boys and Motown, 1970s, 1980s & 1990s. Some classical with a fondness for the Russian composers with Prokofiev being my favorite. Kinda lost interest in current music when hip hop got big. I would rather eat glass than listen to rap. If you listen to Mozart then some Kanye West or 50 Cent, it is pretty obvious music hasn't exactly evolved in a positive way.
