I play the reed flute, known as NEY in turky, or nay in the arab countries. After long rock years i connected my roots (irak and balkan) through aud and ney. i studied mostly alone with casual teachers, but taking the opportunity to go study in turky with a friend made the difference. I felt the turks give tremendus apreciation to this instrument, and thos who play it are called NEYZEN. singing and blowing the ney is by far the gratest challenge i ever met, second only to living. i long for world wide collaboration, cross countries and nations, especially medetiranian style, becouse this is what music is all about - commiting totaly to the one you love.
These recordings are the recent year's work, and i admire the musicians working with me here, dor, mosh and yotam. i pray for all the fine musicians i meet on the way to blossom and flurish with the music of their heart, with no comparison and compromise.
i played and recorded with many artists who tought me a thing or two about life. i'm open for cross ocean recordings with my studio. ENJOY!
