Born in the North East, Studied Violin in Manchester, but did more singing professionally...don't ask why! Most of it Classical/Choral, with some forays into the Jazz scene, and as Mrs Hyde as opposed to Mrs Jeckyll, I've been in several R&B bands over the years, mostly for fun, although I did make it into the recording studio a couple of times. I ended up a radio production assistant for Radio 4, which sounds a lot posher than it is!, but after having the children I decided I needed a change, so I'm now training to be a social worker. But I'm all right, really! :)
You Are From Neptune
You are dreamy and mystical, with a natural psychic ability.
You love music, poetry, dance, and (most of all) the open sea.
Your soul is filled with possibilities, and your heart overflows with compassion.
You can be in a room full of friendly people and feel all alone.
If you don't get carried away with one idea, your spiritual nature will see you through anything. What Planet Are You From?

My Interests

I find my children hugely interesting! My current other biggest interest is getting through my third year at Uni unscathed... I've been watching more of the F1 season this year since it stopped being so much of a parade, and I'm devastated that Dr. Who has finished for the rest of the year - what am I going to do on Saturday nights now??? I shall probably pick up my needle again and finish some of those embroidery projects I'm always threatening to do!

I'd like to meet:

Richard III so I could ask him whodunnit. ;) Oh, and if I fell over David Tennant, I wouldn't object either. I also recently developed a penchant for James Marsters, so if any of you know his phone number...;)

Music:

XTC - Senses Working OvertimeThe Fratellis - Whistle for the ChoirGiant Root Attack - Robots (support your local bands!!)Here's one for Fans of Wensleydale!! This is some of what's on my ipod: XTC, Level 42, Faith No More, The Foo Fighters, Belle and Sebastian, The Divine Comedy, The Kaiser Chiefs, Hard-Fi, The Fratellis, Talking Heads, The Police, The Pet Shop Boys, Adam and the Ants, Paul Simon, Blur, Pat Metheny, Gary Husband, Glenn Miller, Simple Minds, OMD, We are Scientists, Muse, Veldt, Pugwash, The La's, Jack Bruce, and Some Allan Holdsworth.

Movies:

Oh, secret shame time...I Love Musicals. Favourite all time film (this week) has to be "Some Like It Hot". I tend to prefer going to the cinema to watch films though, I don't watch a lot of TV.

Television:

When I watch it...I'm a bit of a trekkie/sci-fi person on the q.t., I'm no expert, mind you. I also like good drama - like "House", and costume drama. I did watch as much Dr. Who as I could shake a stick at, as well...and some wicked person, who shall remain nameless (for now) got me into Buffy...I've got a "thing" about drummers, you know....;)*sigh* ;)

Books:

No, really, I'm into Harry Potter. And lots of other authors, LOL, I just liked that avatar.

Heroes:

You and me.....

Essay time again...

I bloody hate this years essays.  I don't feel up to them.  I don't feel clever enough.  I'm training to be a social worker, not an academic, and yet they plunge us into really heavy t...
