I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again (ISIRTA) is the full frontal radio extravaganza written and performed by Tim Brooke-Taylor, John Cleese, Graeme Garden, David Hatch, Jo Kendall and Bill Oddie. Its zany sketches, musical interludes and groan-some puns made it a cult favourite among many fans.
The show began its life as the Cambridge University Footlights Revue, 'A Clump of Plinths', which later changed its name to, 'Cambridge Circus'. 'Cambridge Circus' found great success on London's West End, New Zealand and Broadway ( click here for more info ). It was a radio version of the 'Cambridge Circus' stage show which led to the genesis of ISIRTA.
ISIRTA's eight series run undoubtedly made the show an iconic landmark in British comedy history, proving to be a pre-cursor for The Goodies, Monty Python and the semi-spin-off, I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.

My Name is Angus Prune,
and I always listen to,
I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again.
(You don't!)
My name is Angus Prune,
and I never miss,
I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again.
(Get away!)
I sit in my bath,
and I have a good laugh,
'cos the sig-tune is named after me.
(Tell us your name!)
My name is Angus Prune,
and this is my tune - it goes;
I - S - I - R - T - A
I'm Sorry I'll Read That A - gain!
