Singer/songwriter/guitarist Lisbeth Lynn spoke these simple yet powerful words after having determined herself to follow her personal journey, realizing that anything and everything is possible. After having lived for 21 years in her native country of Peru, she decided to come to the US to fulfill her musical destiny. Lisbeth began composing at an early age, always having the ambition to express herself to the world. It was from this time that she began to develop her heartfelt, melodic expression and her deep lyrical content, both of which are now key elements to the ethnic pop-rock style.
The uniqueness of this ethnically diverse style has led to creating a powerful fusion of traditional Peruvian sounds with modern pop/rock instrumentation to complement the beautiful and melodic voice of Lisbeth. Even though traditional Peruvian instrumentalist Carlos Ochoa has played a major role in many successful projects, he expresses his connection to this project by saying, “Lisbeth supports an essential message of optimism and spirituality through it’s music and lyrics which provides an opportunity for me to project from my Andean roots onto other cultures and generations”. Drummer/percussionist Dave Parente says, “Every once in a while you meet people who are truly dedicated to creating something unique. This music is not only distinct, but wonderfully entertaining both live and recorded. It gives me a chance to explore and create a mix of the ethnic rhythms from South America to the latest in popular music of the US”. Multi-instrumentalist/guitarist/arranger Edwin Itoh adds, “Music has the distinctive power of immediately touching the very core of all who listen. What a gift it is to choose to be part of something so powerful yet simple…to inspire and soften the hearts of all who listen”.
Lisbeth Lynn now continues to perform in the South Florida area while maintaining their vision of introducing an innovative and limitless fusion of music and culture to the world. Using as an artistic symbol, that of an Incan Goddess with a modern twist, Lisbeth is determined to inspire and innovate in the field of modern music.
