A Tello Surfboards

Alfredo Tello, was born in the seventies in the city of Lima, Peru. At the early age of 7 he discovers his passion for surfing. Together with his brother they took turns on an old school single fin longboard. Soon after they were able to cut through any brakes that adorn the powerful Peruvian Northern Coastlines. In his mid teens he was able to transform his surfing philosophy that he acquired locally from his native beach of Barranca, into his own shapes. He adapted his local knowledge and passion to a global spectrum of diverse audiences that will change the shape of his boards and the experience of the rider that surfs with them. By transforming his own garage into a fully operational production laboratory, he is able to put his visions and his surfer mind onto the lines of the board and hence produce various models that have set a new standard within the local circles of the Peruvian surf community. It's the underground that has lifted him to new heights and his reputation of constructing boards of high performance that are able to endure radical maneuvers at high speeds. He thrives in custom jobs where he can fine tune his selection of sizes, materials and experience level to make unique boards for unique riders. From his workshop in Salamanca, he spurns out boards with fiery passion and pride. Global and local conoisseurs are picking up his boards at his surf shop in Miraflores every day. Having had 20 years of shaping experience and produced over 10..000 boards, we can say with a certainty that Tello has also shaped the surfboard industry on a national and international level, recollecting its past, defining its present and always influencing its future.
