Pollo Del Mar

No, we don't surf, we are chicken of the sea.

About Me

Pollo Del Mar's "Carol if the Bells" is the lead off track on this new compilation from Double Crown Records:
Pollo del Mar appears on a new compilation released by Hear Music called "Big Waves: Five Decades of Surf Rock"- available 6/26 at a Starbuck's near you!
Formed in 1993, 3 Studio CDs, 2 Live CDs, appearances on 20 tributes and compilation CDs, a European tour and a Japan tour. All instrumental, lots of odd influences, but still based in the surf sound.
Here is what some nice people had to say about our CD "The Golden State":
Guitar Player: "Pollo Del Mar craft lilting, cinematic vistas, without ever losing sight of surf's classic melodic sensibilities. Very well done."
Discoveries: "One of the best releases of 2004"
20th Century Guitar: "One of the hottest instrumental rock bands on the scene today"
Garage and Beat: "Pollo Del Mar should be part of your life's soundtrack"
Rock N Roll Purgatory: "almost a spiritual quality, like a transcendent exploration of the abyss" -
Reverb Central: "Well, it doesn't get much better than this! ...simply stunning!
Cozmik Debris: "Their sound is deep and vast, with an element of mystery compelling to anyone who has ever found themselves staring out to sea and sensing its power" -
Vintage Guitar: "Let's just say that things never get boring."
Continental: "Without a doubt the best Pollo Del Mar release to date, showing off their impeccable playing, songwriting and recording skills" -
Pipeline: "A bunch of clever bastards really"
Songs from The Golden State are available from iTUNES

Friends on MySpace, Why?

I now know why Myspace exists... I see so many self-pics of people, either shot in a mirror or at arms length- No wonder they need Friends- to hold the camera for them. -- Pollo Del Mar
