Pan-Pacific Psycho-Surf Instro-Mentals

About Me

The Aquamarines remain true to the sound of their 1960s and modern Surf Instrumental influences which include the Blue Hawaiians, Los Straitjackets, Laika & the Cosmonauts, the Ventures, Dick Dale, Link Wray, the Challengers, the Surfaris, the Chantays, and the Shadows. Breathtaking precision drum beats, cosmic bass lines, and 10-foot-tall reverberated shred & twang vibrato guitar, these are the trademarks of the Aquamarines sound.

the Aquamarines ARE...

    Ltn. Colonel Ace Russell
Guitar, Special Ops 1st Lieutenant Rick Escobar
Guitar, Logistics Gunnery Seargent "Big Wave" Dave Becker
Bass, Artilliary P.F.C. Farhan "Mr. Chicken" Mohamed
    Keyboards, Percussion & Demolitions

REVIEWS:

"The performances are solid...a deliberate and fluid performance with a Link Wray sensibility, big vibrato chords, and surf-throb-correctness, the Aquamarines do a tasteful and straightforward cover...Very tastefully done, with a rich arrangement.
---Phil Dirt - Reverb Central, KFJC FM Radio Santa Cruz

"The Aquamarines SCHOOL OF REVERB CD nailed this old surf lover right to the board. The band's passion is palatable enough to reach across the decades. And done LIVE? My tattered rock critic's cap is off to you: surf music could have no better ambassadors, the Ventures no better envoys."
----Leland Rucker, KCUV AM 1510 Denver

"You guys rocked the house! You should have heard the crowd when you did some of the flashier bits, people were goin "yeah"! and nodding in approval! Nicely done! A new era for the The Aquamarines!"
----Tom Walzem, The Neptunes, Fresno

"...one of the best shows I've seen in years and I wish L.A. shows had this kind of energy and crowd reception!"
----Tiki Mania, Los Angeles
