About Me

Most people don't realize how we've been catching waves here in Chicago for longer than anyone can remember. For as long as there has been surfing on Lake Michigan, the Chicago Surf Shop has been there providing surf apparel and accessories to Windy City surfers. Of Course there's surfing in Chicago and it's about time we extend the Chicago Surf Shop's flavour around the world. It's been our little secret, but now with everyone's private waves getting GoogleEarth-cammed it was only going to be a matter of time before someone turned the satillite inland and discovered that Chicago has the sickest waves on the planet. The only way to see the crests of these gnarly man eaters is from the observation decks at the Sear's Tower and John Hancock Building. With Pipline, Cloudbreak, Taehupo'o, Shark Park and other big wave spots getting so crowded, the privacy of our dream waves can't be matched for lining up your hardest charge. We want to envite everyone to drop in on our waves and experience the changes in attitude that will result from the changes in altitude you'll get from these tsunamies. When you're done, drop in on us at the Chicago Surf Shop, grab a cup of coffee or an energy drink and tell us about your best ride. While you are there, check out the new stuff we're bringing in at what will be the hottest surfshop on the planet.
